When Andrew Briggman—a young soldier in the US invasion of Afghanistan—witnesses other recruits killing innocent civilians under the direction of a sadistic Sergeant, he considers reporting them to higher-ups. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._

Dan Krauss's film depicts in stark terms the way war can strip souls of conscience, something made even more wrenching when viewed with the knowledge that it's based on horrific true events.
